Our History

MIM International Inc. was established in Houston, Texas, in 1991 by Mr. Gerardo Martínez Lastra Arrechavala, a visionary entrepreneur with a bold ambition: to expand the reach of his successful Mexican enterprises - today known as Grupo MIM - into the thriving industrial landscape of Houston, Texas. Recognizing the city’s rapid growth, strategic location, and its emergence as a hub for manufacturers and major distributors in the Pipe, Valve, and Fittings (PVF) sector, Mr. Martínez set out to position MIM International at the heart of this dynamic market. Driven by innovation, integrity, and a deep understanding of industrial supply chains, MIM International has grown from its entrepreneurial roots into a trusted partner for clients across North America. Our foundation is built on decades of experience, a commitment to excellence, and a passion for connecting industries with the solutions they need to thrive. Today, the group is led by the second generation of the family, with the third generation actively preparing to continue the legacy and drive its future growth.
